Clinical poster prize
Clinical posters that are submitted will be critically appraised by the ESE Clinical Practice Committee. This section is for case reports or clinical techniques – and not clinical research.
Research projects including clinical trials should NOT be submitted in this category but should be submitted to the Original Scientific Research category. If your submission does not follow the correct format it will be allocated to the General Endodontic section.
Poster format:Clinical posters should be prepared in PowerPoint and the final version saved in PDF format for uploading to the submission site. Only PDF files can be uploaded. All relevant images MUST be included in the PDF to illustrate the case report/technique in full. The Clinical posters will be displayed as electronic posters and do not need to be printed. The PDF posters need to be prepared ready for viewing at the e-poster stations throughout the Meeting. Electronic posters (so called e-posters) are similar to traditional printed posters but are displayed on-site on a large LCD television screen. E-posters must be prepared according to the instructions and using our .ppt template - CLICK HERE. The template background, text colours and font size may be customized but the slide size etc. MUST NOT be altered.
The following sections must be included in the PDF poster:
- Title
- Authors (Please note a blind review process is not being used for Clinical submissions)
- Institutions
- Aim(s) of the case or technique included in the poster
- Case Presentation (for case report or case series) / Methodology (for clinical description of a technique/material)
- Discussion
- Conclusion & Clinical Relevance
- References (max 5)
Poster Presentation: All accepted original clinical posters will be moderated with 5 minutes allocated for presentation followed by time for questions. The nominated author must be in attendance for the entire session they are allocated to. Please note: These posters will be presented using electronic poster boards and do not need to be printed.
Clinical Poster Prize: The ESE Clinical Practice Committee will select the best posters and the author asked to present their poster in a lecture theatre. The poster will be projected onto a large screen and the presentation should be approximately 10 minutes long with 5 minutes for questions.
Attendees will be asked to vote on the best presentation and a prize of €250 awarded to the winner at the end of the session.
Those posters not accepted for presentation in the Clinical poster category will be sent to the General Endodontic section if this option is selected by the author on submission. Posters in the General Endodontic section will be presented on traditional poster boards and will need to be printed.
